school camp

School camp

Hello blogger. Tomorrow my school get to go to school ski and snowbord camp on Mt Ruapehu. I am felling excited and a bit worred about going on camp I am felling worred because of the drive lenght (327.2 ks), the chance of a natural disaster and of geting hurt. I'm excited because it is my first time sking on a mountain. I think the time we have to be on the skis is going to push most. I think I am going to gain independance and self-managementfrom being away from my family for 4 days. I think I am going to be very tired and will be happy when I get back from camp.

my holiday nartie.

My holiday narrative

Hello Blogger, for the past three weeks we have been writing about our holiday. But it was not a recount that we wrote it was a narrative! I was happy that it was a narrative not a recount like it always is. A good thing about it being a narrative is that we got to exaggerate the truth a bit, some people exaggerated the truth a lot though. I did not have an eventful holiday so it was hard for me to write an interesting narrative because I don't like to exaggerate too much. A few things I did not like about it was how much harder than a recount but that is just my opinion. After we finished our narrative we had to do two stars and a wish to someone else's narrative. Two stars and a wish is writing two things you liked about someone's writing and a wish is saying one thing that you would change. here is my hook sentence "will we make it to the movies on time."said Nicholas. If you woud like to read the rest of my narrative click the link.

litter blitz

Litter Blitz

Hello blogger two Wednesday's ago we did a Litter Blitz around my school. By we I mean the entire school. The juniors did around the school but everyone else did around the streets near the school. We collected 200kgs of rubbish or 36 bags which is equivalent to two giant pandas! There were a couple of golden tickets hidden around in the rubbish but not all of the tickets were found. The prize for the golden tickets was a tshirt that said be a tidy kiwi on it. My group and the group on the other side of the road to mine did not find a ticket even though there was supposed to be a ticket on the track that one of us were on. There was 105.81kg of miscellaneous rubbish which was the most and the least was 10.88kg of metal cans. there was also 100.37kg of paper/cardboard, 41.81kg of soft plastic 24.32kg, of plastic bottles, 56.10kg of clothing and 14.82kg of takeaway cups, lids, straws, food containers and food waste.

After we came back we got to have a free sausage because we cleaned up the street and then we had a photo of the whole school after I liked that we did a Litter Blitz and think we should do it again next year mabye.
