School Ski Camp
Hello bloger. 2 Weeks ago we went on a 4 day long ski and snowboard camp to Mt Ruapehu. To get to the place we were staying at we had to drive for a very long time. We did have a few stops like Hamilton Gardens and the Sir Edmund Hillary walkway, there were challenges at some stops. The challenge at the Hamilton Gardens was to find the garden that a photo was taken in, my group came 2nd out of everyone. The challenge at the Sir Edmund Hillary walkway was to find the answers to the questions we were given, I don't know how my group did. The place we were staying at was not on Mt Ruapehu but it was very near it. We also had challenges at the place we were at, one was to create the tidiest room and one was guessing how many lollies there were in a jar. We had to have a lot of clothes for the mountain like woollen gloves, waterproof gloves, ski pants, track pants, thermal pants, thermal shirt, t-shirts, jacket, ski jacket and ski/snowboard boots. When we first were at the mountain we got our stuff for skiing and snowboarding and put them somewhere safe so we could go tobogganing. It was ok but not the best activity I had done. After that we went up the sky waka gondola and had a photo and snowball fight there. Finally, we got to do the skiing I think it was very easy though we did not do much, on the second lesson we got to do a lot more after the lesson we had lunch then we got to have free time. It was a very fun camp! We went to the Taupo baths and the Hamilton Gardens again on the last day, it was not fun for me because I felt sick all the way to Auckland. I did a slide of camp before and after if you would like to see it click the link.
Blog ya later.
