Athletics Day

Hello Blogger, last Tuesday we had an Athletics Day at school! Everyone was split into age groups, I was in the oldest age group 10 - 11 years old. We were also split into Boys and Girls not only age groups. There were 13 activities overall, my favourite ones where High Jump, Long Jump, Team Building and best of them all House Relays. Pukeko won the relays then Kea and Ruru came second equal and Tui (the best house) came last. Athletics Day was actually supposed to be on Thursday last week but it got rained out. I did not qualify for zones in any activity. Photos down below if you want.

Cultural people unveiling

Hello Bloggers; on Monday we had an unveiling of the cultural people that we have been making through Term 3. When we did the unveiling for the people we also revealed a new improvement to the friendship bench. The improvement was that the middle school painted rocks and put them around it, plus there was a plaque in commemoration of the Christchurch mosque attack. The youngest and oldest child at school cut a ribbon to open it. The culture paintings we created represented the variety of cultures in our school. There is still a lot of room on the fence to add more as our school grows. My class created an image of a Cook Island Maori boy and an Indian girl. Photos down below.

Futsal!

Hello Blogger, every Wednesday this term we have been and will keep doing Futsal. The person who teaches us futsal is Kingston last week he brang an friend Leon so now both of them are teaching us. We have had to do many thing in the first session we had to play a dribbling game then do juggling practise. The next session we did the dribbling game again but with a twist then we played head catch which if they throw you the ball an say head you catch the ball if they say head then you catch then we played the numbers game. The numbers game you get given a number and have to run and try to score against the other one person with that number first goal wins.Last session we played all the other games but the numbers game.
